Chapter Four

Sunlight poured through the skylight, waking Terra from a relaxed, satisfied sleep. She rolled from her stomach, twin urges driving her from bed. First and more urgent—the need to pee. Second, Allie. She wasn’t in bed.

She padded over to the bathroom and pushed the ajar door open.

“Oh, excuse me!”

Allie laughed. “Good morning. It’s okay; you can come in.”

“I didn’t realize you were in here. I just need to use the bathroom.” Her heart fluttered at the sight of Allie, hair piled in a bun. She was stretched in a full tub of bubbles, toes out, heels resting on edge of the bath. Adorable. Sexy. Vulnerable.

“If you don’t need privacy, you can stay.” She laughed. “I’m a mom. There’s nothing I haven’t seen happen in the bathroom.”

Terra grinned. “I’d prefer to hold onto my romantic allure as long as possible. I’ll run down the hall.”

“Come back when you’re done?” Allie asked.

“Sure.”

She used the guest bathroom then brushed her teeth and threw on a robe. She went to the kitchen to start coffee then went back to the main bathroom. This time, she knocked.

“Sleep well?” Terra asked.

“Sooooo great,” she sighed. “I woke up a few times during the night. I did sort of a reality check, you know?”

“No, what do you mean?” She threw a fluffy towel on the floor and sat on it, crossing her legs in front of her.

“Well, last night was so amazing, so fun. And we spent the night sleeping together. You know we spooned almost the whole night?” Allie pulled her feet back under the water.

She nodded. “I remember. It was wonderful, babe. Your body is amazing. I felt so comfortable sleeping with you.”

“Me, too.” Allie nodded. “I slept like a rock when I did sleep, but I woke up a few times and just couldn’t believe you were there. Our night was so fun, so easy. You know? It got me wondering, what happens now? Is it too soon to ask? I mean, we both needed a one-night stand, but what if we want more?”

Terra rose from the floor and kneeled in front of the tub. She leaned over the bubbles to kiss Allie. “Good morning, by the way.”

“Great morning,” she breathed into their kiss.

“On the subject of what now…the way I see it, we don’t have to check out of the house here until noon. Are your kids taken care of until then, or do you need to leave early?”

She nodded. “I can stay.”

“So, we have at least another four hours together.” She slipped a hand into the warm bathwater. She ran her fingers over the full breasts and belly. “And I’m going to assume Madame Eve does not expect her gift box to be left here at the house.”

Allie sighed as Terra found her nipple under the water and squeezed.

“We have this morning, so let’s enjoy it. Then I think we should take that box and have at least as many nights together as it takes to try out each and every thing in it.
